Opening Exhibition

The centre point of the exhibition is formed by the visual art of the Classic Modern period in Austria, which is framed by additional works from the 19th and 20th century and the present day. The artists displayed include Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka, Waldmüller, Schindler, Wisinger-Florian, Moll, Eisenschitz, Moser, Dobrowsky, Walde, Egger-Lienz, Pauser, Kubin, Oppenheimer, Kolig, Hundertwasser, Blau, von Zülow, Boeckl and Birkle. Their works form the permanent exhibition and are supplemented by three special exhibitions per year with items from private collections. Drawings and sculptures will also be displayed and international Artists in Residence will be available in their temporary studios.
